Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data GameTagGen ("we", "us") collects when you use gametaggen.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Tool inputs and outputs. When you use a generator tool, the topic, keyword, or game name you type is sent to Google's Gemini API to produce results. We log the input and output text against a one-way hashed version of your IP address, so we can enforce the daily free-generation limit. We never store your raw IP address — only a salted SHA-256 hash that cannot practically be reversed back to your address.

Account data (Pro and admin accounts only). If you create or are given a GameTagGen account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password (never the password itself). We do not currently process payments directly on the Site.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies for core site function (for example, keeping you signed in) and, where applicable, for advertising served through Google AdSense. See "Cookies and advertising" below.

Automatically collected data. Like most websites, our hosting provider's logs may record standard technical data such as browser type, referring page, and timestamps, for security and diagnostics.

How we use this data

• To generate the tag, title, name, or bio content you request.
• To enforce free-tier daily generation limits and prevent abuse.
• To operate and secure Pro/admin accounts, where they exist.
• To display advertising through Google AdSense, once enabled, and measure its performance.
• To maintain and improve the Site.

Third-party services

Google Gemini API. Text you submit to a generator tool is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. Google's own privacy terms govern how it handles that request. We do not send any identifying account information to Gemini beyond the text needed to generate a result.

Google Fonts. The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts' CDN, which may log requests including IP address as part of normal content delivery.

Google AdSense. We use, or intend to use, Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. Cookies and advertising

Where required by law (for example, for visitors in the UK, EEA, and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, including advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer.

Data retention

Generation logs (hashed IP, input, output) are retained only as long as needed to operate the daily rate limit and for basic abuse prevention. Account data is retained for as long as the account exists. You can request deletion of your account data at any time — see "Contact" below.

Children's privacy

GameTagGen is intended for creators managing gaming channels and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

• You can use every free tool without creating an account.
• You can opt out of personalized ads using the links above.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site changes. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
